There are, more than 700 TV channels are available in India. However, some channels had stopped their operation or re-branded itself. Here is the list of top Indian TV channels that are closed now.

1. Imagine TV

Imagine TV, which was formerly called NDTV Imagine, was a popular Hindi general entertainment channel, owned by Turner Broadcasting System. It was closed on May 11, 2012, as the channel struggled for ratings. Interestingly, the channel has deleted its programs from YouTube as well.

2. 9X TV

9X was a Hindi GEC owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. The channel has completely stopped all its operations on 13 April 2015 citing the lack of viewership and fall in TV ratings. However, the channel had already stopped airing new content since 2009.

Tara Newz TV was a Bengali language news channel owned by Government of West Bengal, which covers local news of West Bengal and Bangladesh. The channel has ceased all its operations on 15 April 2013.
