Virender Sehwag Calls Out Manish Kashyap and Gautam Gulati Over Threats on Rise and Fall 2
Virender Sehwag addresses the heated clash between Manish Kashyap and Gautam Gulati on Rise and Fall 2, urging contestants to compete without threats or abusive language.
Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag has addressed the growing tensions between actor Gautam Gulati and influencer Manish Kashyap on the reality show Rise and Fall 2. The show's host reportedly reprimanded both contestants over their aggressive language and repeated threats, urging them to maintain respect while competing.
The confrontation became a talking point after exchanges between Gulati and Kashyap escalated, with the two reportedly trading accusations and threatening remarks. Sehwag stepped in to remind them that competition did not justify intimidation or disrespect.
Sehwag Uses His Najafgarh Background to Make a Point
During the discussion, Sehwag addressed Kashyap and spoke about his hometown, Najafgarh, in Delhi. He explained that the area had historically been associated with gang activity and incidents of violence, but he had never used his background to threaten anyone.
According to the report published by Amar Ujala on October 29, 2026, Sehwag pointed out that Najafgarh comprises numerous villages and that reports of gang-related violence had appeared in the news over the years.
He questioned why anyone should use their hometown or its reputation to intimidate others, highlighting that he had never relied on such references during his cricket career.
'This Is a Celebrity Show, Not a Criminal Show'
Sehwag also criticised the tone of the arguments between the contestants. Expressing his displeasure, he questioned whether the programme was turning into a contest of threats rather than a celebrity reality show.
He objected to references to gun violence and remarks about leaving bodies behind, asking the contestants why they were using such language on the programme.
The former India opener also addressed Gulati's behaviour, reportedly questioning his manner of standing and responding while challenging the host. Sehwag reminded the contestants that his friendly relationship with them did not give anyone the right to behave disrespectfully towards him.
Sehwag Urges Contestants to Win Without Abuse
Beyond addressing the immediate argument, Sehwag emphasised that contestants should focus on the game rather than personal attacks. He said the real enjoyment of competition came from winning without abusing, humiliating or threatening opponents.
Despite the host's intervention, the disagreement between Gulati and Kashyap reportedly continued, according to the source report. Sehwag subsequently carried on with the show.
The incident has brought renewed attention to the tensions inside Rise and Fall 2, where contestants are competing for the title while navigating rivalries and confrontations. Whether Sehwag's warning will change the atmosphere among the participants remains to be seen.
